Beauty.

While I am taking a beauty interlude here are some of my favorite products.
1) Keratase Shampoo and Conditioner. Approximately 30.00-35.00 dollars each. Totally worth every penny as this shampoo makes your hair silky and smooth for days.

2) Mac Studio Fix Pressed Powder. Approximately 30.00. My favorite product by far, light and longlasting.

3) Smashbox Liquid Liner Pen. This liner looks like a felt tip marker, it is so easy to put on and it never smudges. 29.00 each.

4) Nars Blush in Orgasm. This is so predictable, because it is everyone's favorite. But it is everyone's favorite for a reason! The color is just unmatchable, I also love the multiple in orgasm.

5) My last favorite for today would have to be Rimmel London lycra mascara. I have tried too many mascara's to count. Benefit, Mabelline, Mac, Smashbox, Nars, Revlon, Diorshow you name it. None of these can compare with this mascara. It is inexpensive so try it!

Fresh Find!

I know that this blog is meant for fashion, but I needed to share this with people! I have combination skin. I think. Well, some spots are dry so I use rich moisturizers but when I use those then I break out. Sometimes I am left with little red marks on my skin for months. I was in Sephora a couple weeks ago hell bent on finding a product that can cure all of these skin ailments. I first looked at Clinique skin eraser serum, which the lady told me is not for my 20-something year old skin. I had just finished a jar of Clinique moisture surge which is a gel like product, that didn't do anything bad, but didn't do anything magnificent either. I had been reading about Philosophy products like Miracle Worker and Hope in a Jar. Now, I had a lot clothes shopping to do so I was going to go back to assess my funds. Needless to say I forgot to go back to Sephora to pick up my 65.00 skin cream and I am glad I did. I became so desperate that I went to the drug store and bought a 25.00 jar of a L'Oreal product, Skin Genesis Complextion Equalizer. I had no expectations whatsoever. I have now been using it for a week and my skin is GLOWING. I love it so much I went out and got the serum and moisturizer also. The grand total was about 60.00, which is what I would have spent on one jar of Philosophy cream. Now, I am regrefully admitting that I am somewhat of a cosmetics snob. I don't really use drugstore makeup or lotion, or shampoo. This stuff has helped me turn over a new leaf. (Pictures are in order of application)

Ray-Ban

I love sunglasses. Living somewhere cold doesn't give me the chance to wear them year round but I love them none the less. My favorite style of sunglasses have to be Ray-Bans. I was recently looking to invest in another pair and I came across the new Ray Ban "Rare Prints Subway" collection. They look like normal wayfarers on the front but on the inside they've done something completely different. Take a look.

Oooh lala

I love perfume. I always strive to have "a scent." That might sound funny, but I love when I can recognize someone when I smell their perfume. It is hard to acquire "a scent" when you love perfume though. To date I have about 20 bottles of perfume that I rotate through each week. I don't think I will ever be able to choose just one perfume so I am going to choose 5. Here are my top 5 favorite perfumes. My number one favorite right now is SJP NYC its a fruity scent, with strong traces of wild strawberry. Perfect for summer. Number 2 would have to be Babydoll by Yves Saint Laurent. It has notes of grapefruit, pomegranate but also wild roses, freesia and ginger. Not only does it smell delicious but it comes in a gorgeous diamond shaped bottle. Number 3 is a cult classic, for years it has been a favorite of many, Thierry Mugler Angel. Angel has scents of almonds and chocolate, the sweetness of coconut, vanilla and caramel, and a balanced woodiness provided by patchouli. 4th has to go to Burberry, specifically Burberry London, Burberry perfumes are a go-to standard for many women. London has a citrus scent, with hints of clementines and roses. The last pefume, is Blush by Marc Jacobs. I have Lola and Daisy but I find that Blush is a soft and understated scent. It smells of delicious tangerine and honeysuckles.

Shades.

I absolutely LOVE these sunglasses. They are my favorite but I can't find them ANYWHERE.
If anyone knows where a person could get their hands on some of these half-tint Chanel sunglasses e-mail me immediately.

Online Shopping.

One day I got an urge to online shop. Unfortunately, I couldn't find websites that either shipped to Canada or had any good merchandise. So, I did some research and found amazing online shopping and here is what I came up with: www.net-a-porter.com, www.needsupply.com, www.modcloth.com, www.karmaloop.com, www.etsy.com, girlprops.com, the more I find the more I will update (oh! and ps: Urban Outfitters AND topshop now ship to Canada!). Look one is a Halston dress (Sex and the City anyone?) the second look is an Alexander Wang dress both from net-a-porter.com the heels are from modcloth.com and they're made by Patricia Blanchet the third look is also from modcloth.com the bag and last look are from needsupply.com

M-m-motel

My birthday was on May 27th and I always feel compelled to get a "birthday dress." This year I didn't want to get a puffy girly cupcake dress so I was shopping on karmaloop (a website that I thought was dedicated to gangster gear) when I came across a brand called "motel". I love all of their clothes, every single piece is so different and can be worn casual or dressed up. Check it out, (the first one is my birthday dress!)
